TeXify ("we", "us", or "our") operates texifyai.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following information:

Account information: Email address and full name when you sign up.
Usage data: Files you upload for conversion, generated LaTeX output, and usage counts (conversions, fixes, template generations per month).
Payment information: Processed securely by Polar.sh. We do not store your credit card details.
Analytics: Anonymous page views and events via Plausible Analytics. No personal data or cookies are used.

2. How we use your information

To provide and operate the TeXify service
To manage your account, plan, and usage limits
To process payments through Polar.sh
To store your conversion history so you can re-download past files
To send important service emails (e.g. password reset)

3. Data storage

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS). Your uploaded files are processed in memory and not stored permanently — only the resulting LaTeX output is saved to your history.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following services necessary to operate TeXify:

Supabase — authentication and database
Anthropic (Claude API) — AI document conversion and generation
Polar.sh — payment processing
Vercel — hosting and serverless functions
Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics

5. Data retention

We retain your account data and conversion history for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

7. Cookies

TeXify does not use tracking cookies. Plausible Analytics, our analytics provider, is cookieless and GDPR-compliant by design.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, secure authentication via Supabase, and webhook signature verification for payments. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Children's privacy

TeXify is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
